Amb. DHO Young-shim, Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation and UN SDGs Alumni, had a meeting at the headquarters of the Korea International Cooperation Agency – KOICA, with Mrs. Mi-kyung Lee, President of KOICA, and
Dr. Irina BOKOVA, former Director-General of UNESCO. On that occasion, they shared ideas on women and girls’ empowerment. Dr. BOKOVA highlighted that a 12 year-old girl should be able to continue education in a safe school, supported by her family & community, as a measurement of SDG’s success. During her visit to Korea, she give lectures at Hansei University, Seoul National University, Sogang University and the Korean University, on several issues related to the UN SDGs.
